| St
Malo
An overnight
ferry from Portsmouth took us to the medieval walled town
of St Malo. This is a must do trip with great photo opportunites.
Inside the walled town you have cobbled streets lined with
shops restaurants and bars and a main square where the restaurant
seating spills onto the street. At the Place Guy La Chambre
entrance, Duchess Anne is probably the best restaurant in
St. Malo. The seafood is superb especially its famous turbot
Florentine.
Also try the local speciality, Breton crêpes( pancakes)
at Chez Gaby on rue Dinan.
We stayed
at the Grand
Hôtel de Courtoisville
Outside
the town there is a long stretch of sandy beach fronted by
hotels and restaurants. You can also take the short boat ride
to Dinard, which again is well worth a visit during your stay.
